What is facial acupuncture?
Facial acupuncture, sometimes called cosmetic acupuncture, uses very fine needles placed at points on the face, neck and body. It follows the same principles as traditional acupuncture, so we look at how you are sleeping, eating and coping with stress as well as at your skin.
Many people choose it as a natural, non-surgical option, with nothing injected. Results vary from person to person, and we will talk honestly with you about what to expect at your consultation.

Facial acupuncture: your questions
Does it hurt?
Facial needles are extremely fine and placed very shallowly. Most people feel a small tap or nothing at all, and many find the session very relaxing.
How many sessions will I need?
Facial acupuncture is usually done as a course. We will recommend a realistic plan at your consultation.
Is there any downtime?
Most people go straight back to their day. Occasionally a tiny bruise can appear where a needle was placed, which fades quickly.
Who is it not suitable for?
Tell us if you are pregnant, take blood-thinning medication, have a skin condition on the face or have had recent cosmetic procedures. We will advise whether it is right for you.
