“Normal” results do not always mean you feel normal
Hormone symptoms are some of the most common reasons people come to see us. Often they have already been to their GP, had some bloods taken, and been told everything is within range.
Reference ranges are wide. Being inside them does not mean your body is working at its best for you. We read your results against optimal ranges, alongside your cycle, your history and how you actually feel, so nothing gets missed simply because it is common.
Signs your hormones may need attention
Your cycle
Irregular, heavy, painful or missing periods, spotting, or a cycle that has changed for no clear reason.
Energy and mood
Fatigue that sleep does not fix, low mood, anxiety or irritability that follows a pattern.
Skin, hair and weight
Breakouts, hair thinning or extra hair growth, and weight changes that do not match your habits.
Sleep
Trouble falling asleep, waking in the night, or night sweats.
Perimenopause
New symptoms in your late 30s or 40s: hot flushes, shorter cycles, brain fog and changes in mood.
Trying to conceive
Hormone balance matters for ovulation and your cycle. If a baby is the goal, we plan with that in mind.
Our approach
We start with the detail. A thorough consultation covers your cycle, sleep, digestion, stress, medication and history. If you have recent blood tests, we review them properly. If you do not, we can talk you through which tests may be useful and how to get them.
From there, we build a plan that may include acupuncture, functional nutrition and lifestyle changes you can actually keep. We explain the reasoning at every step, so you understand your own body better than when you walked in.
We always work alongside your GP or consultant, never instead of them. If anything in your history or results needs medical follow-up, we will tell you.

Hormonal imbalance: your questions
Can you test my hormones?
We do not take blood at the clinic. We review results from your GP or a private lab, and can talk you through which tests may be worth asking for.
Do I need a diagnosis first?
No. Many people come to us before they have any answers. If something needs medical investigation, we will say so and suggest you speak to your GP.
Is this suitable during perimenopause?
Yes. Perimenopause and menopause are a big part of what we see, and our Menopause Review & Renew looks at symptoms and bloods together.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what is going on and for how long. We will give you a realistic plan at your first appointment rather than selling you a block you may not need.
