Questions people ask.
When should a surrogate start acupuncture?
Ideally a few weeks before transfer, so we can plan sessions around your clinic’s dates. If transfer is sooner than that, it is still worth getting in touch.
Can intended parents pay for their surrogate’s sessions?
Yes. Intended parents can book and pay for their surrogate’s sessions directly.
Is acupuncture safe in pregnancy?
Acupuncture from a registered practitioner trained in pregnancy care is generally considered safe. We adapt treatment to each stage of pregnancy, know which points to use and avoid, and always work alongside your midwife and clinic.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Surrogates and intended parents are each looked after in their own right, and we will only discuss your care with the people you ask us to.
Do you work with UK and overseas surrogacy?
We support surrogates and intended parents who live locally, whatever route you are taking. If your surrogate lives elsewhere, we can still support you as intended parents.
Do you support same sex couples and solo parents?
Always. Every kind of family is welcome here, including donor routes.
What support is there after the birth?
Postnatal recovery for surrogates, with Tui na and acupuncture, so her recovery is looked after too.
