We know why you’re here, and we know it isn’t really about tests.
You lost a baby. Maybe more than one. Somewhere in your head there is a due date that nobody else remembers, and you have probably sat through meetings and answered emails and made small talk on a day that meant everything to you and nothing at all to anyone else in the room.
Then at some point you were expected to be fine. To try again. To be grateful it happened early, or that it happened at all.
So before anything else: you do not have to arrive here with a plan. You do not have to be ready to try again, or know whether you want to. You are allowed to come simply to understand what happened and stop there. We will not push you towards anything, and we will never tell you it was for the best.
And if you fall apart on the table, that is not an inconvenience. It is quite often the most useful hour someone has had in months.

Everyone had something to say. None of it was an answer.
“It was just bad luck.” “It’s really common, you know.” “Your tests all came back normal.” “Try again. Most people are fine next time.” “At least you know you can get pregnant.” “Come back if it happens a third time.”
Some of those are even true. None of them tells you what happened, and none of them tells you what to do next.
Nobody was being unkind. There is a rule about when investigations start, there is a waiting list behind it, and until you reach the number, there is not much anyone is allowed to offer you.

Questions people ask
No. There is no number to reach here. Plenty of people come after 1 loss, because they want to understand what happened rather than wait to find out whether it happens again. Others come while they are still waiting for NHS investigations. Some come before trying again. All of those are fine.
Yes, and most people do. We work alongside your existing care, not instead of it. If your clinic has a plan, we work around it. If you are waiting, we can look at the things that are not on their list and often at the things that are, more closely.
Sometimes we do not, or not straight away. A significant proportion of recurrent losses stay unexplained even after full investigation, and the RCOG says so themselves. What we will not do is pretend otherwise. Everything gets explained, including what we do not know yet, and you will always know what we are looking at next and why. If we think we are not the right answer for you, we will say that too, and tell you who might be.
Your first appointment is £75 and lasts 75 minutes. That includes a full consultation, going through your history properly, and a treatment in the same session. Follow ups after that are £59 for 60 minutes. If your partner comes with you, they can have auricular (ear) acupuncture alongside your treatment for an extra £10.
Anything you send us needs to be dated within the last 12 weeks. Your body 6 months ago is not your body now, and interpreting an old result risks giving you a plan for a version of you that no longer exists. If what you have is older than that, tell us at booking and we will talk about what is worth repeating and what is not.
Brew & Review is for individuals, 60 minutes, £140. Both on Board is the same review for couples, 75 minutes, £185, and includes looking at sperm as closely as eggs. If you are trying together, come together. Half the picture has usually never been examined.
